The Society for Medieval Feminist Scholarship seeks papers on issues of
gender and sexuality in pedagogy for presentation at the Forty-first
International Congress on Medieval Studies in May 2006. In the last twenty
years, we have seen an expansion of texts by or about women taught in the
university classroom which have opened new methods of understanding and
teaching about women in the Middle Ages while other doors have remained
locked. How has pedagogy changed in the last two decades? Where is it
going? What problems (and possible solutions) have arisen? How have women
authors affected the canon? This session seeks to explore these and other
pedagogical topics - past, present, and future. Abstracts should be
submitted to later than September 15, 2005 to
