Since 1988, The Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Journal of Florida Literature
has published material relevant to the life, works, and friends of
Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of The Yearling
and many other widely respected and beloved works, including Cross
Creek, South Moon Under, and Cracker Chidlings.

The new co-editors of JFL, Brent E. Kinser and Anna Lillios, would like
to invite submissions of critical articles that focus not only on
Rawlings but also on issues that fit within the broader contexts of
Florida writing, regionalism, feminism, race, eco-criticism, literature
of place, domesticity, and southern culture. Papers in these more
general areas should in some way connect with Rawlings and/or
contemporaries of Rawlings.

In addition, we will welcome submissions of short fiction and poetry,
especially those which reflect Rawlings's own deep affection for Florida
and Florida life.

Please submit two hard copies and one Word copy of critical article
manuscripts in MLA style.

Short fiction manuscripts, also submitted in 2 hard copies and one Word
copy, should be no more than twenty double-spaced pages in length.
