FILM ADAPTATION CALLING...

...are you going to answer? The PCA/ACA 2006 conference in Atlanta is
happening April 12-15, 2006 in sunny, and gloriously warm Atlanta, Georgia.
As winter approaches, consider taking a short trip to Atlanta to warm up
your body and your mind by meeting and mingling with colleagues of
like-interests.

Here's the updated part of this update: I'm specifically looking for panel
proposals (though individual proposals still welcome) on a number of topics
including the comicbook hero, and heroes in general. Let's not forget the
new and emerging film adaptation sub-genre of the video-game hero. Heroes
in myth are also welcome. Anyone interested in discussing Campbell's Hero
Cycle and what may be missing for the female hero (in any film adaptation)
is also quite welcome. The deadline is NOW November 5th.

Please submit your panel proposals with names and contact info for each
participant (panels may include three to four individual presenters on a
similar topic), or your individual proposal or abstract of no more than 150
words either in-text or via Word attachment to Rebecca Housel,
rahgsl_at_rit.edu by November 5th.
