Papers are invited from all disciplines that consider the question of mothers who are cruel or unusual:
mothers as criminals, alcoholic or drug-addicted mothers, mothers with unusual jobs, mothers who travel, mothers who abandon their children, strange births, infanticide, unorthodox child-rearing methods, concealing pregnancies, and all other underexplored areas of motherhood are welcome. 250-word abstracts by 11/10/05. Email preferred to mesapellyj_at_apsu.edu .
