Call for Papers for Conference for Medieval Studies (Grad)

We are pleased to announce a call for papers for the fourth annual =
Conference=20
for Medieval Studies, a graduate conference sponsored by Comitatus, the =
Purdue Medieval interest group, to be held at Purdue University,West =
Lafayette, Indiana from February 17-18, 2006. The theme for this year's =
conference is "(Re)Imagining Arthur: Cultural and Theoretical Contexts =
of the Arthurian Legends."

Bonnie Wheeler, Professor of English and Medieval Studies at Southern =
Methodist University and Editor of Arthuriana, will be the plenary =
speaker for this year's conference. She has announced that the topic of =
her plenary will be "Mastering Humiliation in Arthurian Literature".

Both individual papers and panel proposals dealing with all aspects of =
the Arthurian legend will be considered. For panel proposals, send =
individual abstracts for each paper and an abstract for the panel as a =
whole. All abstracts should be 500 words or less. Individual papers =
should be 15-20 minutes in length to allow time for discussion. Possible =
topics might include, but are not limited to the following:=20
