The 2006 Early Modern Studies Graduate Symposium
Tension and Texuality in Early Modern Culture

 We are seeking abstract or panel proposals that interrogate or =
complicate
 traditional interpretations of early modern literature, history, or
 culture. We are particularly interested in papers that examine =
discursive
 formations of power through textual or historical print culture. Such
 proposals may include but are not limited to critiques of early modern
 otherness, constructions of identity, marginalized writings, emerging
 notions of nationhood, empire, and analyses of the history of the book.
 Please submit a 300 word abstract and c.v. by January 16 to
