CFP: Henry James Sessions at MLA '06 (2/28/06; MLA '06)

The Henry James Society will sponsor two sessions at the 27-30 December
2006 convention of the Modern Language Association, in Philadelphia:

Topic 1: Henry James and the Other Women II: Additional proposals sought
on the topic of women other than Minnie Temple or Constance Fenimore
Woolson whose working or personal relationship with James can be shown to
have an impact on how we read his career and/or oeuvre.

Topic 2: Henry James and the late Adeline Tintner: Adeline Tintner was a
prolific, admired, and sometimes controversial James scholar who often
claimed that she intended her work to point the way toward further
investigation into James. Proposals are sought that address Tintner's
impact on James studies, that follow on from her own work, or that are
influenced by or simply in the spirit of her contributions to James
scholarship.

Proposals, in the form of 2-page (max.) abstracts, should be sent by
February 28, 2006 to:
