CFP: Women and Education (1/25/06; SSAWW, 11/8/06-11/11/06)

Society for the Study of American Women Writers (SSAWW), 3rd
International Conference; Sheraton Society Hill, Philadelphia, PA.
Nov. 8-11, 2006.

Proposals are invited for a panel at SSAWW that explores any aspect
of the relationship between women and education. Papers might address
authorship and pedagogy, self-teaching, school teaching, extra-
institutional arenas for learning, education and social uplift, or
the writings of teachers during and directly following the Civil War.
Work on all genres is welcome: poetry, fiction, non-fiction, etc.
Please send a one-page proposal and a C.V. to Anne Bruder
(bruder_at_email.unc.edu) by Jan. 25.
