CFP: Ecofeminism and Pacific Northwest Literature (3/1/06; RMMLA, 10/12/06-10/14/06)
Rocky Mountain Modern Language Assocition Annual Conference
Tuscon, Arizona October 12-14 2006
Special Topic Session: Ecofeminism and Pacific Northwest Literature
This panel invites papers that discuss ecofeminism as seen in
works by pacific northwest authors. Some informative and exciting books
have been written by area authors such as Teri Hein and Annie Dillard and it
is
my hope that this panel will explore these writers as well as many others
and
generate more discussion of their important works. Possible submissions
could discuss (but are not limited to) natural disasters, environmental
hazards
past and present, farming and agriculture, water, industry etc using an
ecofeminist lens.
Please send 500 word abstracts no later than March 1, 2006 to Andrea
Campbell, Washington State University akatecampbell_at_gmail.com
