Papers may address any aspect of Dickey's work as a literary critic, including views he expressed in a broad range of prose genres: reviews, essays, speeches, interviews, letters, and journals. Papers may discuss Dickey's philosophy of creativity, language, and composition; his system of criteria as a critic; and the application of his philosophy and criteria in his own writing. Papers also may explore Dickey's success or failure as a critic and the degree to which he shaped literary tastes and movements during his time and after.
