CFP: Intermountain Graduate Conference (grad) (2/15/06; 4/8/06)
Through our academic conversation among scholars, writers, and students in the Intermountain West, we aim to foster a greater understanding of the creative connections that exist between ourselves and the spaces we inhabit—whether local or global, contemporary or historical.
We thus welcome scholarly and/or creative papers relating to all fields of the humanities (Cultural Studies, Literary Studies, Creative Writing, Gender Studies, Folklore, American Studies, Nature and Environmental Writing and Regional Studies) on topics ranging from the pathos of Tupac Shakur to the pop significance of Victorian painting, from the analysis of a married women's festival in India to the memoir of a Nevada childhood. Papers may be submitted individually, but panel submissions are also encouraged.
Please submit a 150-200 word abstract that includes the paper title, name, affiliation, and e-mail address to:
