Submissions are sought for online journal seeking contributions from grad
students(MA/PHD) on various aspects regarding British Literature.

The aim of the journal is to return to the roots of criticism focusing on
essays that are either free of or not wholly dependant on recent
developments in theory although critical reactions to the porject are of
course welcome. The aim of the project is to provide a space for those who
believe theory has pushed the boundaries to far to publish their own
insights.

Essays should be in the MLA style, up to 4,000 words although longer essays
will be looked at.

Topics of special interest include:
Discussions on rhetoric and the poetic language.
Reactions to radical theory.
Essays focusing on canonical texts/texts from 18th C Britian to the modern
age be they poems, novels or plays. Peripheral writers who are believed to
be deserving of such status are also of interest.
The cirraculum/how literature is thought etc.
Poetry is also welcome.

Send abstracts of 300 words to newboundaries_at_gmail.com along with your name
etc.
