RELIGIOUS WORLDS: Identities and Convergences
July 3-8, 2006, Sao Paulo, Brazil
For this conference, we welcome papers that focus on the connection=20
between intertextuality and religion. This concept comprises both the=20
traces of texts having religious content in other texts and the=20
presence of religious ideas in secular texts. The scope of the=20
conference is open to include any form of religion or religious=20
behavior from any time period. Sample topic areas include the=20
following:
- The presence and transformations of religious texts inside other =
texts
- The secularization of motifs and elements taken from religious =
texts
- The presence of secular elements within religious phenomena
- The literary / political / ideological implications of the =
desire to=20
transform or rewrite religious texts
Papers can be in Spanish, English or Portuguese.
Proposals should included the following:
