The Annual Conference of the English Department of the
University of
Bucharest will take place in June, 2006:

1.LITERARY & CULTURAL STUDIES: 1-3 June, 2006
2.LINGUISTICS: 23-24 June, 2006.

The linguistics conference will be followed by the
international workshop Interface Legibility at the
Edge (left periphery), organized by Anna Maria Di
Sciullo (UQAM) and Virginia Hill (UNBSJ), Bucharest,
25-27 June, 2006. For information about the workshop
see LL 17232 on linguistlist.org.
 
Papers are invited in the following areas:

1. Literary Studies
2. Cultural Studies
3. Theoretical Linguistics
4. Applied Linguistics

For the literary and cultural studies conference,
please see topics for orientation in the attached file
(literary & cultural studies).

The conference fee of 1,000,000 lei /100 RON or the
equivalent of 30 euro (to be paid upon arrival)
includes lunch and coffee breaks for two days. A
selection of the papers will be published in Bucharest
University Working Papers/ Bucharest University
Review.
