CFP: Composing Identities (3/1/07; collection)
CALL FOR PAPERS: Contributors sought for a collection of narratives
entitled Composing Identities. What is your story as a compositionist?
How has your identity as a scholar and researcher been affected by your
identity as a writing teacher? How does your identity outside the
academy influence your professional life?
We are particularly interested in proposals from those underrepresented
in publications—adjuncts, instructors at two-year colleges, graduate
instructors—but central to its courses. Likewise, we are eager to hear
stories of those marginalized in the academy, by virtue of ethnicity,
sexual orientation, and/or class. Please submit 500-word proposals to
Mary Reda at marymreda_at_yahoo.com or Susan Kirtley at
susan_kirtley_at_uml.edu by March 1. Early submissions encouraged.
