CFP for Panel on Lessing's Short Stories for the Second International
Doris Lessing Conference, Leeds Metropolitan University, U.K, to be held
July 6-8, 2007.

Over the decades of her writing career, Lessing has been a
productive writer of short stories, varying from brief sketches to
novellas. However, little scholarly attention has been paid to her
accomplishments in this genre. Contributions to this panel might
cover Lessing's changing uses of the form, the relationships between
her short stories and novels, the short stories in their historical
and political contexts , her short stories in relationship to her
predecessors or contemporaries in the genre, or any of the conference
themes with reference to the short story.
