CfP: Secret Harmonies: the Journal of the Anthony Powell Society
(09/04/06)
The year 2005 saw the widely celebrated centenary of the English writer
Anthony Dymoke Powell. In order to further disseminate Powell's work and
introduce him to a new generation of readers, the Anthony Powell Society
is proud to announce the launch of the peer-reviewed, annual Secret
Harmonies: the Journal of the Anthony Powell Society.
The new journal now invites submissions for its first issue, to coincide
with the Anthony Powell Society's AGM in October 2006. Submissions are
invited from academics and enthusiasts alike and can cover all aspects
of Powell's life and work as well as his relationships to other writers
of his time (Orwell, Green, Greene, Waugh etc.). Essays / Articles
should be about 6,000 words in length and conform to the MLA Style
Manual and British spelling if possible.
