FOR A PROPOSED ESSAY COLLECTION ON
MARY ELIZABETH BRADDON

Possible topics for articles might include:

· Braddon and the theatre
· Braddon's twentieth century fiction
· Adaptations of Braddon's novels
· Braddon and the sensation school
· Representations of gender in Braddon's work
· Braddon's literary influences
· Braddon's influence on other writers
· Autobiographical elements of Braddon's fiction
· Braddon's writing as social commentary
· Braddon's significance/legacy as a Victorian woman writer

Articles should be between 5000 and 7000 words in length, and should be sent
