  APRIL 4 - 7, 2007
  BOSTON, MA
  Boston Marriott Copley Place

and medievalism in modern popular culture.

to teach the Middle Ages, including films, comics, novels

What made him popular then—what keeps him going now?

by the medieval world as well as reading medieval artifacts
  as sequential pictorial narratives.

REIMAGING MEDIEVAL MUSIC: Consider how modern
performance requirements bring a very different context
to medieval music, as well as how modern reinterpretations
of medieval music by groups as varied as Värttinä and Amorphis
  resituate the music.

  MAGIC IN THE MIDDLE AGES
