CFP: Robinson Jeffers and the Visual Arts--Special Issue of Jeffers Studies

The editors of Jeffers Studies are planning a special issue on Robinson
Jeffers and his relation to the visual arts, especially photography and
painting. The issue will include hitherto unpublished photos of Jeffers by
Leigh Wiener and supporting documents, some new and some reprinted, about
that 1956 photo session. The issue will also include comments by other
artists who knew and portrayed Jeffers, for example Edward Weston, and we
seek other comments by artists on Jeffers or his work. In addition, we will
collect some of Jeffers's own unpublished statements on photographers and
artists. We solicit articles, notes, comments, or other material bearing
upon this theme. Please email submissions, proposals, queries, or
suggestions to George Hart <ghart_at_csulb.edu> by September 1, 2006.
