CFP: Entries for Hispanic American Literature Volume (8/7/06; collection)
Dear Colleagues:
I am writing to invite contributions to the Hispanic American Literature Volume. This encyclopedia will be a stand-alone book and will be published by Facts on File in 2007.
The volume is already 3/4 complete.
Facts on File is a New York publisher of reference books for high school and college students (www.factsonfile.com).
Entries are due August 7, 2006 and are peer reviewed. Each essay should be written in a clear and accessible (jargon free) style and amount to 1000 words.

Please note that entries will consist of biographical overviews as well as analyses of individual works. If you choose an author, then please be aware that other contributors may write about specific works.
Once proposals are received and assessed, I will send out assignments, sample entries, guidelines, and contracts. Preference will be given to those who can send in their entries early, before the deadline.
