THE POPULAR CULTURE/AMERICAN CULTURE
ASSOCIATIONS' NATIONAL MEETING, 2007
Boston Marriott Copley Place
Boston, Massachusetts
April 4-7, 2007
Conference Information available at:
http://www.h-net.org/~pcaaca
I encourage you to consider submitting a proposal
for the Television area. Our area was one of the
largest in terms of sections and number of papers
in Atlanta (the 2006 conference), and I see no reason
not to shoot for # 1 in Boston (there is no prize, however!).
Last year saw a significant number of papers dealing
with the reality TV phenomenon, and since the phenomenon
continues, I hope the papers will as well. I also hope that
some presenters will address the growing conservative/
fundamentalist media movement and that al Jazeera and
other international broadcasting will draw some attention.
And, as ever, papers on subjects such as literature adapted
to television, and any other television-based subjects are
welcomed.
I hope to see you in Boston!
