2006 Film and History League Conference
"The Documentary Tradition"

REVISED DEADLINE: August 10, 2006
Papers and panels are currently being sought concerning any aspect of CRIME
DOCUMENTARY. We welcome all submissions that address any aspect of the
genre, including critique of a particular film or films, critical analysis,
technical/formal analysis, cultural studies, reception studies, narratology.
Other topics are welcome. Panels are currently being formed around issues of
performativity (The Laramie Project, and the Aileen Wuornos documentaries)
and practice (documenting New Orleans after Katrina).
Revised deadline for submission is August 10, 2006.
The Film and History League conference details can be found at
www.filmandhistory.org. The meeting will run from 8-12 November, 2006 in
the Dolce Conference Center near the DFW airport. A spectrum of other areas
will evolve on the web site over time.
