The Literature Division of the Graduate Institute of Foreign Literatures
and Linguistics at National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, is pleased to
announce the founding of a new scholarly e-journal, /Interstice:
Literary and Cultural Studies/. As a “contact zone†for cross-cultural
intellectual exchange, the journal invites contributions from around the
world. The inaugural issue will appear in December 2006. We welcome the
submission of articles written in English by graduate students and
emergent scholars on national and comparative literature, critical
theory, film, and other areas of popular culture. Papers should be about
3000 to 6000 words, previously unpublished, and in MLA style. For
submission, please email your work as an attachment, preferably in MS
Word format, to the following email address: inter.stis_at_gmail.com

For the first issue, the deadline of submission is* November 10, 2006*.
To facilitate the process of blind review, please include a cover page
with contact information, the title of your paper, a 250-word abstract,
and a brief biographical note. No name or identifying information should
