Call for Papers=20
The English department at Baton Rouge Community College invites
submissions from faculty and graduate students to its annual spring
writing conference, "Writing Matters: An Exploration of the Diverse
Nature of the Composition Classroom." Papers and panel discussions are
welcome in all areas relating to the composition classroom, including
technology, cultural diversity, teaching methodology, interdisciplinary
approaches, and writing across the curriculum. Deadline for submissions,
which should be a maximum of 200 words, is Monday, January 15, 2007.
Selected participants will be notified no later than Wednesday, January
31, 2007.=20

Contributors are sought for a new book on 'A History of Sexual =
Perversion
1650-1850'. We specifically seek articles within the boundaries of =
history of sexuality which examine so-called sexual 'perversions'; this =
might include any sexual behaviour which was considered perverse or =
'abnormal' for its time and would include certain heterosexual, =
homosexual, lesbian, transgender, transvestite etc. practices; and why =
was such behaviour was seen as 'abnormal', 'perverse' or threatening; =
subjects for discussion might be considered include bestiality, =
flagellation, sex with children, fetishes, sado-masochism etc.=20
