<>The Shawangunk Review is the journal of the English graduate program
at SUNY New Paltz.<> The Editors welcome submissions from Master's level
students in any area of literary studies: essays (criticism; theory;
historical, cultural, biographical studies), book reviews, scholarly notes.
Manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with MLA style (with notes
as endnotes) and should be submitted as a Word or RTF electronic file.
Essays should not exceed 3500 words (10-12 pages) and book reviews 1250
words. With your submission please include a brief biographical
statement. Submit material as an e-mail attachment to

The Southwest/Texas Popular Culture and American Culture Associations will hold their 28th annual meeting in Albuquerque, New Mexico, February 14 through 17, 2007. The organizations have met there for several years, and members wanted to return because of the great location, the fine hotels, food, sights, museums, and more. Albuquerque is the home of the National Hispanic Cultural Center, which promises research and entertainment possibilities.

I welcome abstracts for essays to be included in a proposed volume on
any area of study pertaining directly or indirectly to the Frankfurt
School, for the publication of which I am in talks with Cambridge
Scholars Press.

Abstracts should be approximately two pages long, while full articles
will probably run 15-25 pages in the volume itself.
