The National Women's Studies Association will host its 30th anniversary
celebration and 2007 Annual Conference: Past Debates, Present
Possibilities, Future Feminisms , in the Chicago suburb of St. Charles,
Illinois, at the Pheasant Run Resort, June 28 - July 1, 2007.

As part of the larger conference, the Girls' Studies and Activism
Institute will engage in conversations about culture, activism,
education, science, and technology by, for, and about girls of various
identities, experiences and locations. Perspectives on girls today and
in the past will be discussed. The Institute will offer girls, their
parents, their teachers, and other conference-goers opportunities to
engage with girl-centered spaces and projects from the Chicago area and
nationally. State of Illinois Continuing Professional Development Units
will be available to K-12 teachers who attend. Although individual
presentation proposals are welcome, session or panel proposals are
especially encouraged. K-12 teachers and their students are particularly
welcome to submit proposals.
