ARTICLES IN PROGRESS WORKSHOP

The MATC Theatre History Symposium is pleased to offer a workshop for
scholars with articles or reviews in progress. Workshop facilitators
scheduled to appear include editors from:

Theatre Journal
Theatre Topics
Theatre History Studies
Journal of Dramatic Theory and Criticism
Baylor Journal of Theater and Performance

If you have an article or review you are preparing to submit for
publication and would like critical feedback and advice from your peers
and journal editors, please prepare an abstract of the work in progress
and email it by NOVEMBER 15, 2006 to both of the Theatre History
Symposium co-chairs, below.

Please include your name, academic affiliation, and title (identifying
whether you are faculty, student, or independent scholar), with your
abstract.

Article and review essays for this workshop will be selected based on
overall clarity of the project and time limitations for the conference
itself. Please look to the submission guidelines for the journals listed
above as you prepare your proposal. Full versions of the selected
essays will be due by January 31, 2006.

Mid-America Theatre Conference is pleased to announce that the
keynote speaker for its March 2007 Conference will be Lou Bellamy,
Founder and Artistic Director of Penumbra Theatre Company.

MATC is equally pleased to announce that Professor Michal Kobialka,
Professor and Chair of The Department of Theatre and Dance at the
University of Minnesota will serve as Respondent for our Theatre
History Symposium.
