interested are encouraged to participate. (Graduate students/future teachers
are particularly welcome to participate or register to attend the
conference.) Listed below are some suggestions for possible presentations,
but topics not included here are also welcome.
.. Confessional narrative/style
.. "Chick lit." novel to film adaptations
.. Diversity of "chick lit." (British, American, Latina, African-American,
etc.)
.. Sub-genres (e.g., "Chica lit.")
.. Rhetorical and genre-related issues (Can men write "chick lit.?" Can men
author "chick lit.?")
.. Status/reputation (Do "chick lit." authors merit greater respect?)
