The Social History of Alcohol and Drugs: An Interdisciplinary Journal is a
specialized journal dealing with the history of alcohol and drugs (defined
broadly) throughout the world. We frequently consider representations of
drugs and alcohol in literature and with the use of drugs and alcohol by
literary figures. Our journal appears both in print and on our website at
