A Violent (Re) turn to Ethics?: Implications, Complications and Situations"

  The conference entitled "A Violent (Re) turn to Ethics?: Implications, Complications and Situations" invites you to submit papers on Writing/Righting the ethical in the composition classroom. We seek a wide range of papers that explore the place for ethics in the composition classroom. Considering the highly debated nature of the composition course: What materials are ethical? Unethical? Why? What should students write about in the writing classroom? Can having students write about ethics, right it? Or re-write/right it? What are the risks? What is at stake? Is this right? Is an ecocomposition the new ethical environment for righting the wrongs? Papers on ecocomposition and sustainability are strongly encouraged.
   
  Paper proposals should be no more than 350 words and submitted by November 30th, 2006.
