POSTGRADUATE ENGLISH
A Journal and Forum for Postgraduates in English
In the UK and Europe

INVITES postgraduates studying in the UK and Europe to submit papers of not
more than 7000 words on a topic of their choice within the broad range of
English Studies for Issue 15 (March 2007) of this fully refereed online
journal. Papers should conform to the MLA guidelines for presentation and be
received no later than:

JANUARY 19, 2007

IN ADDITION we invite you to send us 1000 word papers on the topic of “PhD
Bibliography.” You may wish to discuss the different ways in which
bibliographical information could be grouped and categorized for a PhD thesis
and why. You could discuss, for example, the notion of the “secondary primary
text.” You may wish to provide your opinion on what is the ideal number of
sources for a bibliography and the factors this depends on. You can also
discuss how the bibliography is affected by the nature of the PhD topic, the
issue concerning the cited and the consulted item, or problems of citation.
These papers are intended to offer helpful advice for other PhD students in
similar situations. Papers on all topics surrounding this issue are welcome.

We can also advertise postgraduate conferences in the UK and Europe if
requested.

This journal publishes papers from PhD or other research students in the UK and
Europe ONLY. Please include the following information in the email when
submitting your work: name of University, full title of program, title of
essay.
