19th C. American Women Poets
 
This call for papers is for a proposed panel to be
held at (dis)junctions 2007: Malappropriation Nation
at the University of California Riverside's 14th
Annual Humanities Graduate Conference on April 6-7,
2007.

Contributors are invited to submit critical works on
19th C. American Women Poets. These papers can examine
texts by the authors and/or relevant critical and
biographical works.

Potential topics include:

the poets and genre
the poets and the canon
the poets and 19th C. gender constructions
female writers and their communities
female writes and nation building
publication in the 19th C.
reviving the texts
archives of the texts
editing the texts

Abstracts of 250-300 words should be e-mailed to
helen.lovejoy_at_sbcglobal.net by February 16, 2007 (text
