This call for papers is for a proposed panel to be
held at (dis)junctions 2007: Malappropriation Nation
at the University of California Riverside's 14th
Annual Humanities Graduate Conference on April 6-7,
2007.
Contributors are invited to submit critical works on
the 19th C American poet, Sarah M.B. Piatt. These
papers can examine any aspect of Piatt scholarship.
Possible paper topics may include
a close focus on her poetry
Piatt's life/biographies of the poet
a look at critical texts on the poet
Piatt and politics
Piatt and the literary cannon
reviving Piatt's work in the academy
teaching Piatt
Abstracts of 250-300 words should be e-mailed to
