THE DECAYING SENSE OF LEVIATHAN:
A CRITICALLY CREATIVE CONFERENCE
Departement d'etudes anglaises
Universite de Montreal, Quebec, Canada
March 16-18, 2007
We are currently extending our deadline for critical and creative writing
submissions of any genre for our upcoming conference until January 31, 2007,
with the specific aim of adding more workshops. This conference will uniquely
blend critical panels focussed on the interactions between creative and
critical work in the academy and society with a number of creative writing
workshops led by eminent Canadian writers Fred Wah, Gail Scott, and Yedda
Morrison. Participants are encouraged to apply for critical panels with
proposals of 200 words or to creative workshops with a three page submission of
poetry, prose, or cross-genred work. Participants may also present both
critical and creative work. For further information, please email
