Critical Perspectives on Finnish North American Literature

With the development of diaspora studies and interest in the various ethnic=
 literatures across North America, it is=20
especially timely to devote an issue of the Journal of Finnish Studies to t=
he critical examination of Finnish North=20
American Literature. The themed issue will be edited by Beth L. Virtanen.=
=20

Critical approach and specific topic are open so long as the essay addresse=
s some aspect of Finnish North American=20
Literature from its inception to the present. Articles should be about 18 t=
o 20 pages in English; Finnish passages need=20
to be accompanied by an English translation.=20

address. Deadline for queries is September 15, 2007, and final manuscripts =
should be submitted by October 31, 2007.
