1. The Journal of Humanities is a purely academic journal sponsored =
by the College of Liberal Arts of National Central University. As of =
July 2007 it will become a quarterly journal, with issues appearing in =
January, April, July, and October.

2. The main goal of the journal is to promote =
=A1=A7interdepartmental, interdisciplinary, and intercultural=A1=A8 =
humanities research, and we welcome contributions from domestic and =
foreign scholars on related topics in literature, history, philosophy, =
art, society, or culture.

Papers are invited for a special session on critical perspectives on
contemporary cinema for this year's RMMLA Convention in Calgary, Alberta.
All submissions will be considered; papers may cover any film genre or
critical viewpoint. Papers dealing with films after 2000 are preferred.
Please submit a 250-word abstract along with a brief biographical statement
no later than March 1, 2007. Also indicate whether your presentation will
require AV equipment. Accepted presenters will need to be current in their
RMMLA dues by 04-01-07.
Abstracts may be emailed as Word attachments or in the body of the email to
