"Currents" is the theme for the 2007 meeting of the South Central Modern Language Association, to be held in Memphis, Tennessee, November 1-3, 2007. In keeping with this theme, the Flannery O'Connor Society seeks proposals for papers that focus on emerging strains of critical thought in O'Connor studies, including but not limited to those that explore O'Connor's life and work in light of cultural studies, post-colonial studies, disabilities studies, and history-of-the-book studies. Final presentations should last no longer than 20 minutes.

Please send proposals of 250 words or fewer by March 16, 2007, to Mark S. Graybill at Widener University, One University Place, Chester, PA, 19013 or by email at msgraybill_at_mail.widener.edu.
