The editorial board invites submission of essays and book reviews to be =
considered for publication in the next open topic issue=20
issue (December 2007).

Submissions in either English or Spanish are welcome (see the guidelines =

Deadline for submission for Vol XXVII.2 (December 2007): 1 May 2007.=20
1. Essays (4000-5000 words) and book reviews (500-900 words) should =
follow=20
MLA format and be accompanied by a brief abstract (250 words) on a =
separate=20
page.=20
2. The author's name should only appear on a separate cover page, which =
also=20
provides the author's postal and email addresses, phone and fax numbers, =

institutional affiliation, and a statement that the submitted piece has =
not=20
been previously published or, if this is not the case, provides details =
of=20
earlier publication. This statement should be followed by his or her =
signature.
3. Email enquiries are welcome (atenea_at_uprm.edu), but electronic =
submissions=20
are not considered. If the submitted piece is shortlisted, the author =
will be=20
asked to provide a copy in MS Word.=20
4. All submissions should be mailed in triplicate to the editor.=20
