This session will explore how artists have transformed Shakespeare's plays in painting or any of the visual arts. We're welcoming papers on a panel addressing Figurative Language in 19th
Century American Literature for the M/MLA Convention to be held at the
Renaissance Cleveland Hotel in Cleveland, OH--November 8-11, 2007.

soliciting manuscripts for a special issue devoted to reading theory and =
pedagogy for college learners. We are interested in manuscripts that =
suggest applications of whole language theory to and for the college =
classroom; give an historical overview of research into reading and its =
relevance to college learners; discuss critical strategies to increase =
student comprehension; analyze data from a developmental reading course; =
narrate successful or problematic units from a reading classroom and =
contextualize it in scholarship; or any related topics.
