Popular Culture Conference 2008
March 19th-March 22nd, 2008

Mystery & Detective Fiction Area
We welcome proposals for individual papers or panels on any aspect of
mystery & detective fiction, including history, criticism, theory, and
current trends.
Topics of particular interest for this conference are works by San
Francisco or California mystery writers or the use of the West Coast as a
setting in mysteries. Also of interest are works that deal with the
transformation of mysteries from written texts into films or other media,
and the the appearance of mysteries in works that cross genre boundaries
such as computer games, graphic novels, film, and television.
Proposals are due Thursday, November 1, 2007.
