Call for Papers: College English Association National Conference 39TH
ANNUAL CONFERENCE | Passages St. Louis, Missouri March 27-29, 2008

College English Association invites those interested to speak in the
Graduate Student Job Market panel/roundtable discussion which will
focus on "navigating the interview," "writing the cover letter," and
"Job Interview War Stories." Since the conference theme this year is
passages, this panel will focus on a graduate student's "passage" into the
job market.

The panel seeks professors to speak on interviewing advice, especially
in regards to successful interviews at MLA, or current/former hiring
committee members to speak on exactly what they are looking for when
hiring for a tenure track position. There will also be a separate
panel to focus solely on cover letters and CV advice. Finally, any
recently hired graduate students who would like to speak in a panel of
"graduate student war stories" would also be appreciated. Panel proposals
are also invited.
