The Kate Chopin International Society at
The American Literature 17th Association Annual Conference
22-25 May 2008
San Francisco, CA

The Kate Chopin International Society invites submissions focusing on “New
Directions in Chopin Scholarship” for two panels at the ALA Conference in
San Francisco in May. Approaches may include but are not limited to:

• Chopin and New Southern Studies, such as reconsiderations of
subjectivity, objectivity, nationality, regionalism, identification and
selfhood.

• Chopin and transnational Southern studies, especially connections to
Caribbean literature

• Chopin and the grotesque

• Chopin and disability studies

THE INDIAN REVIEW OF WORLD LITERATURE IN ENGLISH
A bi-annual online literary journal, The Indian Review of World
Literature in English welcomes submission of articles on various aspects
of World literature in English. Scholarly and or introductory articles on
individual authors or works are welcome for publication, subject to the
approval of our editorial team. Published in January and July every year,
the articles that appear in this journal will be published in book form
either as collections or monographs.

Potential contributors are requested to confine themselves to the
following areas:
