UPDATE: [20th] The Novels of Bret Easton Ellis

updated:
Thursday, October 25, 2007 - 4:46am
Patrick Lindsay McGuire

Any and all essays pertaining to the controversial Bret Easton Ellis are
welcome. His novels include American Psycho, The Rules of Attraction, and
Less Than Zero, all of which captivated audiences as readers in the 1980s
and later as moviegoers in film adaptations by the same name. The
responses and reviews to the notorious author's work, whether positive or
negative, are certainly voluminous; therefore, this CFP strives to gather
as much literary/film criticism on his work as possible to be edited in a
collection co-edited by Richard Collins (Louisiana State University-
Alexandria) and myself.

Please e-mail finished papers or detailed abstracts to both

CFP: UPDATE: Special Journal Issue â€" MELUS (1/1/08)

Alien/Asian: Imagining the Racialized Future

To accommodate more submissions, the deadline has been extended. Please
note the new deadline below. The timeline remains the same with the intent
to publish the special issue by Winter 2008/Spring 2009. There has been
some confusion regarding whether or not this is an “abstract” or “full
article” deadline, but I am expecting FULL articles on the deadline below.
The call also slightly widens the boundaries for article submissions. As
a clarification, paper submissions do not need address texts solely
published 2000 onward.
