“Current Pedagogies for the Humanities”
The 18th Annual EGSA Mardi Gras Conference invites papers for the proposed
panel,
“Current Pedagogies for the Humanities.” We are seeking 15 minute papers
that consider teaching the humanities in our contemporary age. Papers
could explore making use of technology and digital aids in the classroom,
methods of making artistic studies relevant to students outside the
humanities, and intersections between the two. We are interested in both
specific teaching practices and more general teaching theories.

“Artists on Their Arts”
The 18th Annual EGSA Mardi Gras Conference invites papers for the proposed
panel,
“Artists on Their Arts.” We are seeking 15 minute papers that consider
artists who comment on their own craft. Papers should situate the artists’
perspective amongst a larger tradition of critical inquiries, and consider
the specific relevance of those authors’ theories on their own work,
keeping in mind the unique position of the author-critic.
