An inter-disciplinary conference for postgraduates
to be held on the Bankstown campus of
the University of Western Sydney
on Thursday 10 and Friday 11 July 2008

Call for papers:

Missing Persons seeks to examine and explore issues arising from loss and
displacement, memory and forgetting, disappearance, erasures and caesuras,
death and dying in artistic and creative production.

Proposals are invited for a panel at the 2008 ALA Conference on the
psychosexuality of *identical* twins and commodity fetishism in American
literature.

The American Literature Association annual conference will be held in San
Francisco, CA on May 22-25, 2008.
        
Topics may address any of the following issues so long as they discuss a
work of American literature that specifically foregrounds the relationship
between identical twins:
