MEMOIR

Contributors are invited to submit critical works on how memoirs are
constructed, effective, and affect? What place has memoir in e-societies
that allow for near- instantaneous transmission of images and words?
 
Some Possible Topics May Include:
post-modernity and memoir
bodies as memoir
memoir and technology
memoir and history
the use of pseudo-memoir (such as Stein’s Autobiography of Alice B.
Toklas or Yourcenar’s Memoirs of Hadrian)
memoir and trauma
memoir and mechanized transport
memoir and identity, gender, race, ethnicity
the reader and memoir

Abstracts of 250-300 words should be emailed to
alan.lovegreen_at_email.ucr.edu by February 15, 2008 (text in the body of
the message; please no attachments).
