Call for Papers

Echoes of Transformation is an undergraduate English discipline conference
that seeks to explore the language that affects, or is an example of,
radical change. How does literature transform the society in which it
exists? How have authors changed various literary forms? How have theorists
and critics changed our reading of literature? When we pay attention to
work from outside of the canon and around the globe, what changes?
We are seeking undergraduate critical or creative papers, from all
disciplines of English studies, that describe or call for change. Possible
topics include, but are not limited to: style, theory, criticism, cultural
studies, genre, and gender studies.

Papers should be submitted to by 3/01/2008. The
registration deadline for the conference is 3/14/2008. Please visit the
website to view the registration form, and for additional information
regarding the conference, including our guest speakers, directions, and
hotel information.
