I am seeking papers for the following panel:

Excess of the Imagination

In a _Spectator_ essay on the "Pleasures of the Imagination," Joseph
Addison writes that "the imagination can fancy to itself things more great,
strange, or beautiful than the eye ever saw and is still sensible of some
defect in what it has seen." Addison's comment raises questions about the
role of sight, the effect of the natural world on the mind, and the ability
of the imagination to transcend the worldly. This panel seeks to explore
these issues concerning the role of sight and Fancy or Imagination in the
early modern period and, in particular, how notions of the excess of the
imagination appear in creative works.
