An International Edgar Allan Poe Conference will be held in Albacete, February 3-6, 2009, at the
Facultad de Humanidades (www.uclm.es).

Full-length papers related to any aspect of Poe's work, contexts, life, and/or influence are
invited. Authors should feel free to interpret the theme broadly, since it would be impractical to
attempt to address or even to list all conceivable topics about Poe.
The official languages of the Conference will be English and Spanish.

tradition in providing an epistemic model for self-cognition. The panel
seeks to raise interest in the contribution of allegorical representations
of dissected minds to a body of epistemic inquiry into the nature of mental
processes.
